HG Gundam Exia Build - Custom Color -

After the HG Barbatos Gundam BUILD -Rusted Effect-

I m working on this HG Gundam Exia Build, actually this kit i brought  it together with the HG Gundam 00 Raiser with GN sword since Aug 2015. Why take me so long to build this kit is bcoz it kinda like same with the Gundam 00 Raiser kit i build previously, and for this kit i wanna try paint using airbrush as a practice model.

~ HAHAHA ~

On 18/12/2015 i have brought my 1st ever airbrush and the air compressor, i searching so hard in makati area, is it very hard to find ready stock.

 ~~ Finally i have it now~~

Before i try paint on the HG Gundam Exia i have try on the Stand model and the spoon for practice hahaha ~

!! The time has come !!

Before i start to build this kit i try plan to have purple color for the main color scheme, coz i wanna custom build for diff color scheme for this kit.

Color Spec Setup :

- Tamiya X-4 Blue
Own Mixing Color (Ratio : 1:1)
- Tamiya X-16 Purple
- Tamiya X-2 White

Enamel Paint
- Tamiya X-16 Purple
- Tamiya XF-66 Light Grey
- Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color (Black)

  

Personally not really like gross finish

~ i love matt finish ~

Lets starto!!! 1st i like to wash my runner, after that i like to cut out the part and put in diff container, all the container will label it as head, body, arm, wrist, leg, accessories.

This is the 1st time i try to scratch build, scribe panel line for my kit, and try to remove the seam line. Actually scratch panel line is not easy need to plan how deep off line will be and need to keep steady straight line.

Still studying how to scratch build, need a lot of practice for cutting the pla plate into smaller piece >"< pain in the ass, some more need to measure and position into correct position.

After applying the surface primer, i start my airbrush painting with my own mix purple and it turn out quite nice looking hahaha ^^, and for the white part i try attempt pre shading technique. look at the image it seem i over done it. Bcoz at 1st i dont know how to control the air pressure.

Pre shading i using blue color and try to have fine line at the edge of the part.

Ps : after painting need to apply future /pledge (future coat) 5-6 layer to protect the paint, i didt apply for this kit after i paint end up something a lot scratch/ paint removed / getting dirty coz you might do some hand paint >"< i learn my lesson from this build.

All the part are finished painting, now is the time for the detailing, 1st i try to put on the water decal then panel line.

For water decal i have apply Mr.mark setter & Mr.Mark softer
